The art gallery centers the lived experiences of immigrants & refugees in Connecticut. \nWe are seeking visual artists\, photographers\, writers\, and creators of all ages to submit art that reflects: acelebratand love contributions immigrants & refugees make – to culture\, cuisine\, music\, \n\nWhat is joyful about the immigrant community & traditions.\nIndividual stories\, emotions\, or faces often erased in news cycles & policy decisions.\nA challenge to dominant narratives about who belongs & what defines “American”.\nArtists are invited to share stories from their own lives\, their families\, or their communities.\nYou’re welcome to interpret the prompts above metaphorically\, spiritually\, culturally\, or politically. Think of these as starting points\, not boundaries.
