SUMMARY:2025 Wishing Wheels Bike Drive
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the launch of the 2025 Wishing Wheels Bike Drive. As always\, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your continued dedication to the children in our community. Your compassion and hard work inspire us to keep making a difference\, one bike at a time. \nThe 2025 Wishing Wheels Bike Drive will take place on Saturday\, December 13th. As in past years\, the success of this event depends on the collaboration of partners like you. Together\, we can provide brand-new bikes and helmets to children who might not otherwise experience the joy and freedom of owning their very own bicycle. \nWe would love to partner with your organization again this year to identify children in need and make this holiday season extra special for them. \nBike Details\nThis year\, we will be offering bicycles for boys and girls ages 2 through 10\, along with a limited number of bikes for children ages 11 through 16. If your organization has older children in need\, please know that those sizes are limited\, but we will do our best to match each child with the correct bike based on age and gender. \nNext Steps\nPlease reply to this email at your earliest convenience to confirm your participation in the 2025 Wishing Wheels Bike Drive. In your response\, include an estimated timeframe for providing your initial list of children. Please exclude those who received bikes last year unless they have since outgrown them. Each list should include the child’s gender and age\, and\, if possible\, first name. \nSponsorship Support Needed\nAlthough we are fortunate to have hundreds of individual donors\, the success of this event depends significantly on the generosity of our sponsors. We have attached a sponsorship letter that you can share with businesses\, individuals\, or partners who may be interested in supporting the event. If you have existing sponsor relationships\, we would be so grateful if you could help us connect with them and share this meaningful opportunity. \nIf you have any questions\, please do not hesitate to reach out by email or phone at (203) 871-9896. We truly look forward to working with you again to bring joy\, smiles\, and the gift of two wheels to children throughout our community. \nWith gratitude\, \nThe DellaVentura Family and The Wishing Wheels Team

SUMMARY:Immigrant Stories: Tetyana Pavelo
DESCRIPTION:Tetyana is deeply passionate about ensuring that everyone—especially refugees and immigrants—have access to education\, resources\, and opportunities for a better future. \nOriginally from a small village near Uzhhorod in the Zakarpattya region of Ukraine\, Tetyana has been actively involved in raising funds for families in need and supporting children’s education in Ukraine\, especially during the ongoing war. With many of her family and friends still in Ukraine\, her dedication to helping others navigate new beginnings is personal and heartfelt. \n \nTetyana’s career began in Ukraine as a journalist\, where she spent six years publishing articles in local newspapers\, hosting radio news segments in Uzhhorod and Kyiv\, and serving as a correspondent in the Ukrainian Parliament. She also worked as a public relations specialist for one of Ukraine’s prime ministers\, engaging with national and international media. \nAfter immigrating to the United States in 2008\, Tetyana transitioned into the field of graphic design\, where she leveraged her communication skills to support clients across the tech\, marketing\, retail\, and fabrication sectors. Tetyana holds a degree in Romano-Germanic Philology from Uzhhorod National University in Ukraine\, and for two years\, she studied international economy at the European University in Kyiv. After moving to the US\, she continued her education\, earning a B.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Bridgeport. In 2016\, Tetyana worked as a designer on the URcommunity.us campaign\, which aimed to help young foreigners start their lives in a new country\, integrate into their communities\, and transition to a new normal. \nAt Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS)\, Tetyana brings her passion for empowerment and community building to her role as Community Integration Specialist\, where she connects refugees and immigrants with vital resources and helps them navigate their new lives in the U.S. She is inspired by the resilience of those she serves and is dedicated to building a supportive and welcoming community for all.
