Enhancing Impact and Lowering Operating Costs

Due to major federal funding cuts, IRIS has made the
difficult decision to close our offices in Hartford and
New Haven’s East Rock neighborhood.

But we are not shutting down.

We remain fully committed to our mission and continue
to serve clients in New Haven, Hartford, and New
London.

To adapt, we’re shifting to a mix of remote services and satellite locations. 

We’ll still be working from our Education Center at 323 Temple St. (United Church on the Green Parish House) in New Haven.

Our Food Pantry at 75 Hamilton St. in Fair Haven remains open on Wednesdays, with expanded support
through our new partnership with the Community Soup Kitchen of New Haven. We’re also finalizing a location in Hartford to continue in-person services.

Hartford Office Directions

Take exit 29A to downtown Hartford off highway 91 North to Hartford, continue right toward Capitol Area, take a slight left on Prospect St to Main St. Take a right at the light onto Main St, there should be a park on the right, across from the IRIS building. Take a left into the parking lot, through the black gate that will open automatically. Do not go through the front of the building, go to the left, through the door under the blue awning at the back of the building.
