Call For Artists & Storytellers

Ben & Jerry’s CT & the ACLU of Connecticut will be hosting an art gallery, to amplify and uplift the stories of immigrants & refugees in our community. The art gallery centers the lived experiences of immigrants & refugees in Connecticut.

We are seeking visual artists, photographers, writers, and creators of all ages to submit art that reflects: acelebratand love contributions immigrants & refugees make – to culture, cuisine, music,

• What is joyful about the immigrant community & traditions.
• Individual stories, emotions, or faces often erased in news cycles & policy decisions.
• A challenge to dominant narratives about who belongs & what defines “American”.
  Artists are invited to share stories from their own lives, their families, or their communities.
  You’re welcome to interpret the prompts above metaphorically, spiritually, culturally, or politically. Think of these as starting points, not boundaries. All mediums and voices are welcome.
