Welcome. Peace. Amen – A Concert Celebration
IRIS is proud to partner with the Greater New Haven Community Chorus (GNHCC) for Welcome. Peace. Amen., a special concert celebrating immigrants, refugees, and the rich cultural diversity of New Haven. Through music and community engagement, the event aims to foster understanding, welcome, and support for newcomers while raising awareness of the contributions
immigrants make to our communities.

The concert will feature performances by the Greater New Haven Community Chorus under the direction of Artistic Director Alysoun Kegel. Attendees are invited to enjoy an evening of music celebrating unity, inclusion, and community. Concert proceeds and community support will help benefit IRIS programs serving refugees and immigrants throughout Connecticut. Guests are also encouraged to support the IRIS Food Pantry by bringing non-perishable food donations.
IRIS staff and volunteers will attend the event, welcome guests, share information about IRIS programs and services, and collect food donations for the IRIS Food Pantry. The event provides an opportunity to strengthen community connections and celebrate New Haven’s diverse immigrant communities.
